Draft Strategy Tips You Must Follow

Well, fantasy football season is here again and there are some draft strategy tips you must follow. Your draft strategy will vary some depending on the type of league you are in. First, are you in a keeper league or one that starts over every year with fresh rosters. How is your scoring system set up, for example do the players get to use the return yards that the accumulate.

The NFL has switched from a run oriented league to a pass happy league. This has made the wide receiver positions value increase. Another trend is teams using a running back by committee approach which has devalued the running back position. I still use my first several draft picks on running backs as long as I can get the running backs that will be primary ball carriers and not split time with others. Once you get your starting running backs then try and pick up a decent quarterback. At this point the top tier quarterbacks will be gone but you can still get a second tier and the point difference will not be that much. Since it is a pass happy league I feel that you can get decent wide receivers later in rounds 4 and one. Running backs are still gold.
